I believe everything happens for a reason. Everything you do has a consequence, whether it be good or bad. Just because something bad happens, doesn’t mean it’s not fair. Offen, people mistake a bad consequence as being "unfair". When in reality it might just be there fault. If it’s a bad consequence you automatically think it’s not fair, if it’s a good consequence, it is fair. It just doesn’t add up.
Now I'm only 14 years old so I don't know much about life, but for me texting is a big part of it. All my friends have unlimited texting, why can't I? Well, my dad thinks I have to earn unlimited, so he gave me a limit of 1500 texts a month. That's reasonable right? Well I went over my limit anyway. I didn't mean to, it just happened. My dad was so mad, he took my phone away. That made me furious. I automatically screamed; "that's not fair!!" Then I actually thought about it. I realized it was fair. I had gone over my limit and the consequence was not having a phone. Yeah, it wasn't a consequence I liked, but I had to deal with it.
I'm not saying everything that happens is fair. If something bad happens to you, that was totally out or your control, yes that is unfair. But I'm talking about life in general. Most things that happen, you have the power to change, or make different. Lets say you were born into poverty. True, life is hard for you, and you don't have much to work with. The thing is, you can change all that! If you really believe, and work hard enough at it, you can get out of that poverty infested place, and make your life better along with other lives. Yes it may take a lot of work, but its always worth it in the end. On the other hand of course, if you don't work as hard as you know you can, and you don't get where you want your going to think its unfair. But it is fair. You know you can work harder, you just don't. And that's no ones problem but your own.
If some kid wanted to pick a fight with another kid that was 2 feet taller then them, and 5 times a better fighter, would it be fair that the littler kid got his but kicked? Yes! Because he started the fight! He could of easily tried to talk to the bigger boy. Now, we all know that's not really what happens in high school, but its still an option. We all make mistakes, and we all have conseqences. And this is something i will always believe.
